Anthony Cunningham

WALDO - Anthony B. Cunningham, 53, passed away Nov. 25, 2008, at home, after a long illness, with support of his family and friends. He was born Nov. 18, 1955, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Philip W. and Hope A. (Currier) Cunningham. As a youth he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, earning the distinguished Eagle Scout Award. After graduating from Brewer High School in 1974, he spent his lifetime working hard in construction trades. Tony was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, and enjoyed many outdoor activities. He is survived by his son, Joshua of Belfast; brothers, Gregory of Bangor, Robert of Veazie and Peter of Hampden; sisters, Catherine Reno of Yarmouthport, Mass., and Julie Cyr of Waldo; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He maintained a large extended family of friends in Maine and New Hampshire during his lifetime. The family would like you to join them in a celebration of his life 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at Webbah's, Route 137, Belfast. A memorial service will be held later in the spring.
