HERMON - Raymond Spratt, 55, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at a Bangor hospital.

Raymond grew up in Holden, and was son of Bud and Sally Spratt. Raymond was a graduate of Brewer High School. He worked at Eastern Fine Paper Co. for more than 20 years. Raymond dearly loved spending time with family and going to camp on weekends for fishing and snowmobiling. His sweet dog, Molly, will truly miss all of the days they spent together sharing lunch and watching Andy Griffith.

Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Nancy (Campbell) Spratt; one son, Brad Spratt and wife, Sarah, of Holden; one daughter, Jamie Staples and husband, Erick, of Bradley; one very special granddaughter, Sidney Rae Staples; one sister, Sharon Budge of Hermon; and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and his brothers, Buddy and David. A memorial reception will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
